Joe Schulman

Throughout his career and during his time as the first President of AMF, Dr. Joe Schulman has applied his work as an engineer, physicist, and biologist to electronic design. He has more than 100 patents in biomedical technology and was instrumental in the development of the rechargeable cardiac pacemaker, the implantable insulin pump, and the first cochlear implant with bidirectional telemetry. Dr. Schulman now serves as the Chief Scientist at the Mann Medical Research Organization (MMRO). Born in New York City, Dr. Schulman grew up in Los Angeles and attended UCLA where he obtained a BS in Physics and a PhD in zoology.
