The Alfred Mann Foundation has spent many years developing a novel IMES device The implanted sensors enables amputees to control a prosthetic hand which could revolutionize the way wounded soldiers move.  The device is currently in clinical trials at Walter Reed National Medical Military Center in Bethesda.
